SUPER FINISH

Super Finish Image
  1. Mastercraft selects only premium oak, cherry, hickory, alder, and maple woods. All surfaces are progressively prepared starting with rough lumber in the mill and finishing with a final hand sanding using 220 grit sandpaper.
  2. Next, all surfaces are thoroughly vacuumed to completely eliminate dust particles prior to entering the pressurized finishing area.
  3. A deep-penetrating alkyd base stain is hand applied to reveal the hidden beauty of the wood.
  4. All stained surfaces are evenly hand rubbed and wiped clean to bring out their natural highlights.
  5. To assure proper adhesion of all topcoats, the stain is air-dried and placed in state-of-the-art 140 degree ovens for thorough curing.
  6. Five to six mils of our specially formulated high-solids catalyzed wood sealer is uniformly applied to the surface, penetrating and sealing all exposed wood surfaces for total protection.
  7. The sealed product is returned to the 140 degree ovens to assure a complete, thorough cure.
  8. All surfaces are again hand sanded with 280 and 320 grit sandpaper providing a smooth, consistent surface to accept the final topcoat.
  9. Surfaces are again vacuumed and blown free of sanding dust to yield a clean -- dirt and contaminant-free -- surface ready for our Super Finish topcoat.
  10. We apply five to six mils of environmentally safe high-solids catalyzed topcoat. This SUPER FINISH provides maximum resistance to scuffing, dents, moisture, and household chemicals or agents.
  11. This topcoated product is cured in a 140 degree oven creating a baked-on, resilient finish that will last for years to come. *Cherry receives a second topcoat application.
  12. Before shipping, each door/drawer is individually inspected and stretch-wrapped before being carefully packaged and delivered by our company drivers on company trucks. This assures a finished product that exceeds our customers' expectations.
